Users

Pressing the 'User:' button brings up the users screen. Here you can select and add users to the database.

The ADMIN

The user 'ADMIN' is the Administrator for the software and cannot be deleted. In order to edit or delete drinks , arrange ingredients, or edit ingredients you must set the ADMIN as the current user. The ADMIN's password can be substituted for any other users password throughout the software.

The ADMIN password is initially set to ADMIN.

Adding a User

When a user is added, he/she will need to type in a username and password. The password will need to be entered twice to confirm. Drink Credit, Proof Limit, Weight, and Gender will all initialize to whatever the ADMIN user is set at. If the ADMIN is set to 180 lbs then all added users will start at 180 lbs.

Any user can edit the User Name, Password, Weight, and Gender values. This will require your password to be entered to do so. Only the ADMIN may edit a users Drink Credit or Proof Limit. In this case, the ADMIN must enter his/her password to access these values.

Password on/off

This controls whether or not a user needs to enter his/her password to access the software. Default is OFF.

Drink Credit

Drink Credit is a credit limit any particular user has. All ingredients have a price per ounce associated with them and thus each drink has a price. When a user pours a drink, the value of that drink is subtracted from his/her drink credit. When the drink credits are gone, no more drinks may be poured by that user. The ADMIN is the only one that can set the Drink Credit.

Proof Limit

The Proof Limit is simply the highest proof any drink may be that is poured by that user. The ADMIN is the only one that can set the Proof Limit.

Weight

The weight of the user. This is needed to get the most accurate guess at Blood Alcohol Level.

Gender

Male or Female. Also needed to calculate BAC.

BAC

When a user pours a drink, it's recorded. The amount of alcohol in the drink as well as any other drinks poured by that user are used to calculate the users' Blood Alcohol Content. Three values are given and represent an educated guess to the BAC of a light, moderate, or heavy drinker.
