Lazydrinker Operation
| The connections needed to hook up your Lazydrinker to a PC can be found on the back of the machine. | |
| Here you connect power, data in, and data out
(If you have a 2nd Lazydrinker). An LED should blink when power is
connected. The CO2 connection is located below the Lazydrinker board. It uses around 10 psi and has a maximum working pressure of 15 psi. It is an auto-shutoff fitting so pressure will not be released when the CO2 is disconnected. |
|
| The Lazydrinker is designed to hold seven
2-liter bottles and nine smaller soda bottles. The cap assembly fits most
soda bottles and a few water bottles. All standard 2-liter bottles use for
soda like coke and pepsi work fine. For the smaller bottles I like to use
one liter smartwater bottle manufactured by glaceau. The smartwater bottles
are nice because they a tall and thin so they fit well in the lazydrinker.
24oz pepsi brand bottles also work very well and are quite a bit cheaper. 16
bottles is a pretty tight fit so having thinner bottles is a must. I avoid
using straight liquor bottles because they are a little to big to fit all 16
and because the contents in these bottles are pressurized. Soda bottles are
designed to handle quite a bit of pressure, liquor bottles are not. When using smaller bottles, you may need to trim the hose that fits inside the bottle, making sure the end doesn't get forced against the wall of the bottle and cut off some of the flow. The hose should sit just above the bottom of the bottle. The image on the right shows a 2-liter bottle with a cap assembly attached. The black connection goes to the CO2 line in the machine and the blue connector goes to the valve assembly. The blue connectors are auto-shutoff so you don't have to worry about losing fluid when connecting and disconnecting bottles.

|
| When connecting bottles, the CO2 line may be connected to any of the CO2 lines in the machine. The fluid line must be connected to it's corresponding valve as setup in the software. The valves are numbered 1 through 16 left to right in the Lazydrinker. So if vodka is specified as #1 in the software, you would connect the vodka fluid line the the leftmost valve. |
